My greatest love is my son Ricardo. My other love is my 4 rescued dogs; yes four and I love them all. I also love many, many things; reading daily inspirational quotes, knowing about different cultures, nature, sunrises on the beach, blue skies, tulips, cookbooks, fashion, purses and jewelry.



Activities

I enjoyed hiking, gardening, visiting new places, cooking, baking, crafting, spending time with my son, my friends and my dogs. I am a self taught crafter and my closest friends think that I am multitalented; among them is my son who is my biggest fan and thinks that I am a wonderful mother, cook, baker and the person with the strongest will on earth who can overcome anything. Don’t you think I am the luckiest person on earth with that kind of son and friends, I do. In reality, I am surrounded by wonderful people and I have been very blessed. God has blessed me in many, many ways, but that will be another story to tell soon.


Hobbies

My new hobby and passion is designing and making jewelry. I mainly work with beads. My love for beads started on my first visit to New Mexico (I love NM people, history, galleries and art stores and food; I can eat “huevos rancheros” New Mexico style everyday). My first visit to a bead store was in Old Town Albuquerque. I was amazed by the tones of beads and semi-precious stones. By the time I left the store I did have a new necklace and earrings that I manage to make myself.

I have been making and designing my own jewelry since then. My collection is getting bigger and bigger as is my interest in learning and perfecting the different techniques to make jewelry. Some of my friends and colleagues have been asking for custom made jewelry to match their outfit and encouraging me to continue with this hobby.

Around People

I always enjoy being around people and my hobby has been very helpful in that respect. Day by day, people are complimenting on the things I wear and when they know I made them they usually ask if I have some for sale or if I can make something similar for them. So now I am not only making stuff for myself but I keep extra materials for those special requests. And yes the time has come; I decided to share pictures of my creations and other custom jewelry that I love. I call my collection fantasía that is why I decided to call my blog CAT Fantasía (CAT is for my names initials letters).
